Peter Hakos graduated from the University of Toledo in 2012 with a Bachelors of Science in Pharmacology/Toxicology in 2012. While completing completing his degree, he participated in several research projects on the management of anaphylaxis at a local hospital in comparison to local guidelines and performing early stage toxicology screenings for potential new antibiotics. He graduated from Lock Haven University's Physician Assistant program in 2014 and soon after began working at Cleveland Clinic. Since becoming a PA, he has been an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and worked in both Hospital Medicine and Hematology/Oncology at Taussig Cancer Institute. He also serves as a preceptor to students and new APPs as well as a guest lecturer at Baldwin Wallace University's PA program on the topics of cytopenias, bone marrow disorders, and coagulopathies.
