Kourtney Russo earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Texas Tech Health Sciences Center School of Nursing, Lubbock, TX. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing at The University of Texas at Arlington School of Nursing, Arlington, TX. She worked as a nurse on the hematology/oncology/bone marrow transplant in DFW as well as outpatient infusion. Since obtaining her NP license, she has worked at The Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders caring for both malignant heme and solid tumors. She earned her Advanced Oncology Nurse Practitioner certification as well as a certificate in Genetic Counseling from City of Hope. She developed a passion for the complex AYA population during her nursing career and was able to further delve into this area thanks to the wonderful team of APPs Melissa has put together across the nation.
