Brad Lewis, MD, is the Medical Director of Machaon Diagnostics. He is an expert in benign hematology with a focus on hemostasis/thrombosis and hyperinflammatory disorders. He lectures around the US and internationally on the clinical and laboratory approaches to diagnosing thrombotic microangiopathies. He is Professor Emeritus at University of California at San Francisco and was the head of benign hematology at San Francisco General Hospital. He was the Regional Benign Hematology Expert for Kaiser Permanente Medical Group of Northern California. He has developed a unique-to-Machaon expertise in the use of genetic sequencing in the acute clinical setting.
Dr. Lewis holds a BS in History and biochemistry from MIT, an MA in History from Brandeis University and an MD from the UCLA School of Medicine. He completed his residency and Hematology fellowship at the University of Rochester.
