  • Demonstrate the recommended procedure for bone marrow biopsy, including patient preparation, obtaining an adequate specimen, specimen processing for specific disorders, and post procedure education
  • Discuss clinical indications and contraindications for lumbar puncture, Ommaya access, and intrathecal chemotherapy
  • Demonstrate proper technique for lumbar puncture and accessing Ommaya reservoir including patient preparation and specimen collection
  • Demonstrate proper technique for intrathecal chemotherapy administration by lumbar puncture and Ommaya reservoir
  • Perform a lumbar puncture and obtain specimen on the simulator
